Experience
Developed innovative ACMI arrangements and led the business into a period of considerable commercial, network and operational expansion.
Led a groupwide airports optimisation programme, realigned regulatory strategy to shareholders’ interests, developed risk-sharing mechanisms for profitable exploitation of secondary markets and identified efficiency opportunities in groundhandling operations.
Delivered top-in-class operational and cost performance across 15 UK airports, case managed a successful claim (and appeal) under the UK Groundhandling Regulations, and successfully advocated for airlines at the DfT, the CMA, EASA and in other UK/EU fora.
Established the regulatory function, supporting airport negotiations and procurement, and case managed the 2009 Judicial Review of the CAA, which resulted in significant restructuring.
Led cross-functional review of in-flight retail and implemented inventory control protocols, significantly reducing distribution costs and stock depth, whilst achieving ISO9001 accreditation.
